“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 The Christian season of Lent begins this month – and with it comes a special time to prepare for two of the most important historical events of the Church year, the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord! As we consider our fallen sinful condition and need for a Savior, may God’s Holy Spirit open the doors of our hearts ever wider — that we may more fully understand and receive the redeeming work of our Lord!
