LCMS Youth Gathering Theme Reveal

LCMS Youth Ministry is excited to announce the theme for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering: ENDURE. The theme takes its roots in Hebrews 12:1–3. Watch the theme reveal video to get a look at what you can expect to see in 2025!

About ENDURE

Earlier this year on January 22–25, a group of Gathering planners joined by youth from LCMS congregations in the New Orleans area met to begin the thematic planning process. This group discussed youth and young adult research and trends, reflected on Scripture, and prayerfully considered the message of the event.

As participants of the January meeting wrestled with topics put before them, God’s Word in Hebrews was woven into the discussions. 

Rev. Dr. Peter Nafzger, Associate Professor of Practical Theology, Practical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, worked on the Theological Foundation paper for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering. This paper gives an overview of the 2025 theme, the book of Hebrews, and how Gathering participants will encounter the theme at the Gathering. The LCMS Youth Gathering planners give thanks to God for Rev. Dr. Nafzger’s work on the Theological Foundation paper and the hours spent reading, praying, and writing the foundation for future resourcing and program elements for the 2025 Gathering. 

The Theological Foundation is now available on the Gathering website. Adult Leaders are encouraged to read the paper as their congregation begins their planning process.
